I don't know what domain postscript is in, but last I heard there was
nothing to stop anyone from writing their own postscript interpreter.
I don't believe Adobe OWNS postscript, they just invented it.  There
is a set of books defining the language.

Adobe does charge, I'm told, a hefty fee for the use of THEIR
postscript interpreter.  If you write your own, they don't.

I'm not positive of this, can anyone confirm it?
