Almost nothing that isn't explicitly commercial, illegal, immoral, or fattening is "forbidden" on bitnet (some things are discourage). The kinds of "pictures" that are frowned upon are ASCII screen pages sent by immediate messages (which have priority over files and shouldn't be used for frivolous purposes).
