I too am having problems with the help files.  I get the first entry ("topics")
but following entries give a "bad file position" error or something like that.

Every once in a while I am able to get help on a topic.

Sometimes I get a completely different entry than the one I asked for.  In 
these cases, the first line is usually scrambled garbage.
