FORD" Organization: The Internet Lines: 15 Apple Computer is in the process of beta testing a new BBS service similar to GEnie. I don't know many more details about it since the beta testers in my area claim they had to swear to secrecy on the penalty of ex-telecommunication that they would not openly discuss it. I can post the 1-800 number for anyone who wants to participate in the test if someone wants it. The only requirements are that you have an Apple, a modem (only 1200baud supported at this time), and a mouse (yes, a mouse, it seems this BBS is into pull down menus and a graphics interface - why does that not surprise me?). The only comment I was able to elicit on its performance was that after 5-10 minutes you forget you're on line and it feels like you're just interacting with your own system. Eric S.
