The message might be of interest to others, also. David, I have been using the microEMACS you sent, and it seems much improved over v3.7i. I'd like to, however, rebind some of the function keys, and none of the Ctrl+keys seems to be rebindable. Do you have the same trouble? There was a bug in v3.7 (in BIND.C) that caused a similar problem, but I thought it had been fixed in later versions. If it is still there and you are interested in recompiling, let me know. I haven't looked at BIND.C in v3.9e. Perhaps there is no bug, perhaps I'm doing something else wrong. But if I try to specify ^XFNL for ctrl- EMACS takes it to mean ^XF, which is not the same.
