     One of the students here needs to print out the following characters
using boldface in Math mode: lowercase \alpha, lowercase \tau, \nabla (looks
like an upside-down \Delta), and \times (the multiplication operator that
looks like an "x"). She has no problem printing them out in the normal
font, but when she tries boldface, either nothing happens, or she gets very
strange results. Does anybody out there know how to do this?
