What do you think c.b.i.p was even >created for???!!!! > -------- FLAME OFF ------------ >-- > Andy.Miller@Dayton.NCR.COM this isn't a specific flame against andy, though god knows he deserves one. for starters, there are a large number of archive sites in the country for public access. this system does (where are those reports when you need them) about 15MB worth of public access traffic a week. every month for the last three months a posting has been made by myself giving directions for picking up some of the more popular stuff from this machine. bill wisner has done likewise for killer i believe and mike whats-his-name at oncoast is doing similiarly. stopping sending out files in c.b.i.p would only slit your throat if you weren't willing to pay the toll charges yourself. when informed that one must pay their own access charges if they want stuff from here, most people just pick up the phone and dial, as it were. mr. miller, and others in the c.b.i.p crowd, would rather have all of the 101 systems between his and mine pay for his net access. i suppose i should now prove what a complete asshole i am by not posting the phone number to this machine. - john. -- John F.
