In the 5-6 days since requesting votes on a chaos newsgroup, I have
 received 17 yes votes and a 4-5 they-already-talk-about-that-someplace-
 else replies. Most of the latter are from people who are interested in
 the subject. If your reply falls into the latter group, please also
 make an explicit vote--sometimes its hard to tell if something
 really says "no".
To make a sales pitch:  If there is an occasional chaos posting in
 an existing group, e.g. sci.physics or sci.math, it may not be seen
 by a large # of people who are interested in chaos but are from a different
 discipline.
