A few times, I was able to hear them and they couldn't hear me, and I always got: "I'm sorry, you cannot be heard, please dial 0 for operator assistance." Why? Protocol? 2) I would love to find out who does the telco recordings. It seems most of the Bell systems use one lady (syndicated telco recordings?), whereas the independents, in CA, FL, and Rochester Tel here in NY all use a man. Who are these people, and how do telcos obtain these nationally "acclaimed" recordings... why don't they use their own custom recordings more often.
