GrabAnim by Gary Bonham will do that.  It's in ANIM.arc on BIX in 
amiga.dev/listings.

Someone may have also posted it here somewhere.  You need the very recent
(April ?) ANIM.arc, not the year-old one.

If it's not in sources or binaries here, tell me where to send it and
I will do so.
