Lines: 30 -_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_ A subject I haven't seen addressed (at least since I've been reading this newsgroup (not that long)) is what level of compatibility with existing software/hardware does an '020 board provide on the Amiga. If I put a Hurricane (tm) or the Lucas (tm) project board in my A1000 am I going to be able to still boot most/all/few of my programs like FSII, JET, Arkanoid etc.??? I assume that decigel will handle virtually anything I'm running in the standard DOS environment that I use with my hard disk etc. but will I have a box full of games that won't run unless I swap the 68K back into the system?? I'd be VERY interested in seeing a compatibility list posted that's been provided by the makers of such boards. If this subject was already run into the ground prior to my arrival to this newsgroup than I appoligize and possibly someone could just mail me the info. I've started useing my 1000 extensively for SculptAnimate3D and boy could I use a 10(?) fold improvement in speed!!, but I'm not ready to dedicate the machine solely for this use, as I would have to do if accelerators limit my software/hardware compatibility. ___________________________________________________________________________ + Stan Fisher uunet!unisoft!nud!teroach!stan + Motorola Microcomputer Division, Tempe, Arizona - (602) 438-3228 + "...no no, let's wait for the A5000, MC88000 based Amiga with 536 Million + colors and 4K square graphics resolution, Yeah, that's the ticket.."
