The GiGi is kind of fun to play with, but what I really want to do is connect the Barco monitor to my Amiga. Will it work? The specifications for the monitor (from the manual) are: 525 lines 60 Hz interlaced or non-interlaced red: non-composite 0.7 Vpp +- 6 db positive green: non-composite (EXT. sync) 0.7 Vpp +- 6 db positive composite (INT. sync) 1.0 Vpp +- 6 db positive blue: non-composite 0.7 Vpp +- 6db positive sync: (EXT sync) negative 4 Vpp +- 6db EXTERNAL or INTERNAL sync mode selectable (switch). frequency response: 15 kHz to 7MHz + 1 db/-3 db gradual roll-off. line scanning: horizontal retrace time < 10 uS. vertical scanning: vertical retrace time < 900 uS. picture tube: high resolution, precision in-line shadow mask, auto-convergent CRT tube with black matrix. Pitch = 0.31 mm. This sounds like a nice monitor (0.31 mm dot pitch!) if I could make it work. It uses BNC-type connectors on its inputs, so I would have to put together a cable. Does anybody know where I can find cables and/or parts to build one? Also, if this monitor will work, does anybody know if it will accept an analog signal? The GiGi only outputs 8 colors, which makes me worry that this may be a TTL RGB monitor (which would be most distressing). I know next to nothing about video monitors, so some advice from a video guru would be most appreciated. --M Michael Portuesi / Information Technology Center / Carnegie Mellon University ARPA/UUCP: mp1u+@andrew.cmu.edu BITNET: rainwalker@drycas "if you ain't ill it'll fix your car"
