In response to some of the questions posted recently:

1) Why is Apple buying 12MHZ 65816's?

 -  There is no such thing as a 12MHZ 65816 so I don't know why (or even HOW)
Apple is buying them.

2) What about the video digitizer AE announced?

 -  I don't believe a RELEASE date was ever announced (at least not formally)
but they are still working on one (hopefully featuring single-frame grabbing
and full true color).  It was put on hold temporarily because of other
projects.

3) How about MIDI cards?

 -  I don't know anything about the MIDI cards on the market (oh come on! two
out of three questions ain't bad!).  I do know that Applied Engineering
announced a MIDI card for the IIGS at AppleFest.
