It was fatal both times, and I never found out how it happened. I haven't been able to reproduce the error yet. This bug in Sparta DOS will rename many different files to the same name. I think it happened both times while using the ERASE command, so it couldn't have been a typo while renaming. What is even weirder is that both times the new filename was "SECTORS" or something like that. I KNOW for a fact that SECTORS was not a filename anywhere on the hard drive. Now the first time it happened, it only goofed up selected files in a subdirectory (not all of them), but the second time it happened, it screwed up an entire partition on a hard drive. About 8 megs of files with the same name.... Has anyone had this problem? Does anyone know anything about it? /\ \ /\ ___ | / /\ /| / /\ /\ /\ /| / /__\ \ /__\ \__ |/ /__\ / |/ / \/ \ /__\ / |/ / \ \__ / \ __\ | \ / \ / / / \ / \ / / Frank Murphy
