Lines: 24 --------- Greetings all. 2 quick questions: 1) I've heard rumours of a quirk with the new replacement drive for the good 'ole 1050 - namely that because of the fact that it is a double sided drive and because it makes use of the timing hole on the disk (which the 1050 doesn't), that disks which have been "notched" and flipped to use 2 of, can't be written to on the new drive. My question : If you insert one of these disks upside-down in the new drive, will the drive be able to READ it, or would you have to use a hole-punch on the jacket in the appropriate place to create a timing hole to make the drive happy (and make me unhappy! :-( 2) Has anybody heard any reports/rumours of when (if?) Datasoft thinks they'll be ready to release the next installment of Alternate Reality? -Ray wilmott@topaz.rutgers.edu
