We have observed that for some (not all) RPCs, the call to clnttcp_create will hang. Execution traces revealed that the call to malloc was hanging. Also, there have been some problems with sending broadcast RPCs. Apparently, the program must be setuid to root in order to do this, which is not the case on Suns. --gregbo
