The basenote has been posted and cross-posted to so many newsgroups that I
surmise that the originator will NOT be reading most (perhaps any) groups
for responses.  The only replies he apparently cares about are in the form
of negotiable instruments arriving in the mail.  I suspect he (and his
sysadmin) will also receive a flood of email nastygrams.  Be that as it
may...

I suggest that any posted responses are a waste of everyone's time, and 
that we just ignore these requests.
