Lines: 36 Memory expansion can be accomplished in various ways. You should get in touch with some PCjr supply specialists - your local dealer is likely to not really know a whole lot about PCjrs and what is available. There is an internal memory board, the jrHotshot, for $200 +/- depending on options, that will bring you up to 640K, etc. Other folks can put 256K chips in some sidecars replacing the 64K chips -- I am not a hardware expert, so I can't comment on the possibility of replacing the original 64K-128K with 256K chips. Some vendors off the top of my head include, PC Enterprises in Belmar NJ, Paul Rau in Galt CA (near Sacramento). Since the Jr is a slightly strange beastie at times, you should consider getting in touch (and preferably joining) a PCjr users group. I say this being the newsletter editor of the San Francisco PCjr Users Group, but there are groups around the country, and even a national PCjr newsletter. Our club president, John King, (415) 472-7035, is always happy to help out on questions, and is more hardware oriented (yes we get calls from all over the country - members too!). You can also call our BBS at (415) 997-4874 1200/300 baud etc., but its quicker talking to a human! I'm scratching my memory (human) and seem to remember we trade our newsletter with a group in Illinois, but I can't swear by it. I'll have to look into that. Hope this is a start anyway.
