It appears that Pyro, at least on a MacPlus and SE, causes MacCompress 2.1 to bomb miserably when attempting to compress a file. MacCompress2.1 runs perfectly with TMON's heap scramble and trap discipline turned on, which is a pretty good acid test. Therefore I am going to assume that this is Pyro's fault, though I could be wrong. Could everyone using MacCompress verify that Pyro is indeed the problem. (including version numbers for MacCompress and Pyro) BTW if you have MacCompress earlier than v2.1, get the latest version, earlier versions have a bug.
