Yes, it sounds like a good idea, but what do you do if the mouse is over on the edge of the screen, such that the dialog box would be mostly off-screen if positioned that way. If you then just make the dialog box appear on the edge of the screen instead of mostly off-screen, then the mouse won't be on the right button any more.
