If you're using a sun3 don't compile with the high optimization settings, as things will break. If you're using a sun4 compile lib/Xt/TMparse.c with -O1; other things (including the server) will work compiled -O4. By using dynamic libraries for Xlib and Xt I reduced the size of /usr/bin/X11 by about 40%, although some nasty Imake hacking was required to get this to happen automagically. -- John -------- Your message: Has anyone run the sun X11 R2 server under SunOS 4.0 ?? I just got it and I'm debating whether to install it or not. Thanks, Dean Grover Hughes Aircraft grover%sunny.hac.com@usc-oberon.usc.edu --------
