He has the drive, but no idea how many cylinders, heads, and sectors per track it is. Below is the pertinent part of an e-mail message from him that describes what he knows about the drive: +--------- | > How big (in Mebabytes) is it supposed to be? Perhaps a quick note in | > comp.periphs will get you an answer (E.G. If it's 117Mb it *must* be | > so-many cylinders and so-many heads...). | | Aye there's the rub. It's reported to be "300" Megabytes. I don't know how | accurate that is. It is a fixed drive with an SMD interface. It appears to | be dual-ported, although not being sure what dual-ported drives look like | I'm not sure about that - but it does have twice as many connectors as I | need. (I am taking the daisy-chain connector to the next drive into | account.) It was manufactured by CDC. | | If you could post that info. in comp.periphs for me I would be most | grateful, as the people at Zaiaz who know what kind of drive it is haven't | seen fit to call me back. (Okay, I only called them once, but still... it | irks me...) If I can't get in touch with someone there (assuming I get | around to trying) then I'm sure there's SOMEbody who reads comp.periphs who | can identify it. +--------- If anyone can identify this drive, please send mail to me and I'll forward it. Thanks in advance. - paul -- Paul Sutcliffe, Jr. +------------------------+ | Know what I hate most? | UUCP (smart): paul@devon.UUCP | Rhetorical questions. | UUCP (dumb): ...rutgers!bpa!vu-vlsi!devon!paul +------------+
