It has an intermittent problem that causes it to drop into command mode after the "CONNECT xxxx" message shows up. The carrier is still there...I can do an "ATO" command to reconnect, but this behavior is not very nice for my uucp dialers to handle. I'm trying to find information from someone on what could cause the modem to drop into command mode like that. I called them and the person I talked to said "maybe a chip went, send it back and we'll replace it". Well, I did that, but he tried it out and it worked fine for him(surprise, surprise), so he sent it back saying it's probably a software problem. We're running an HP9000/825 with HP-UX v2.0 which is using HDB UUCP. If I can find the cause, maybe I can remedy the problem...
