Does anyone know of a GOOD # smart serial board, with hardware flow control, capable of keeping up with # a 10 Mhz bus? The latest version of the Bell Technologies ICC card worked fine for me in a 25MHz 386 system which ran its bus at 12MHz, running Xenix/386, supporting full RTS/CTS as used by a TT+, and worked like a charm. The earlier Bell Tech ICC used the bus clock to keep its 80186 awake. The latest one has an on-board xtal and fancy syncing with the bus clock when it has a block to move to or from main memory. Note: I used to be a consultant before I came to work at DEC; that's how I know this stuff. DEC has no knowledge of this posting. -- Paul Vixie Digital Equipment Corporation Work: vixie@dec.com Play: paul@vixie.UUCP Western Research Laboratory uunet!decwrl!vixie uunet!vixie!paul Palo Alto, California, USA +1 415 853 6600 +1 415 864 7013
