There is OCR Software available for the PC/MS-DOS enviroment. The 
different scanners on the market work with most of them. One version
is called Read/Right sold by a company in the Philadelphia area. Data
Copy markets their own called OCR Plus. I do not know of any of these
packages that work in the Unix enviroment. The OCR Plus Software can be
"taught" to kearn various print types.
