The purpose of the BOF is to discuss the issues that effect women in technical fields and the general lack of women in these fields. I am particularly interested in ideas for encouraging more women who are already in the field to become more involved with and to attend USENIX. There is also the issue of why there are so few women in technical and scientific fields and what can USENIX do as an organization to help correct this. If there are other issues of women and work that the attendees want to discuss that will be more than fine. The BOF is open to anyone who wants to attend. Bring ideas. Anyone who comes merely to be disruptive will made to stay after school and write on the blackboard 100 times "I will not make a fool of myself and alienate people with whom I may have to work someday" Lori S.
