Well, it can't be all bad - I mean there are worse places to go than
Hawaii and France.  :-O

But seriously, it seems that supercomputing is the hot topic so everyone
is getting in the act.  Sadly, this is remiscent of the database
stuff in the early 70's and some of the AI stuff recently.  I hope we
don't end up in the same boat:  After the faddists leave, the serious
researchers are set back a goodly bit.
