You need to install the program "rsw" in the /usr/dir/lib/sw directory (where ever you put the other programs). This is the "read" program that does all reading from your terminal. You also need to install the programs "dmpdbm" and "upddbm". The makefile creates these programs, but the README fails to tell you that you need them.
