   Recently, I pulled the kermit/vt100 terminal program from anonymous ftp
as per the instructions in a previous posting.  The program loads successfully
but I cannont get the thing to make my modem dial while in connect mode.

   I have the 1670 modem.  Do I need to issue an open statement to the modem
prior to loading the program?  

   Email response would be fine.  Thanks!
