Have observed several articles on this subject but so far no mention of the solution I discovered quite by accident, so here goes. I had the same sort of problems with feeding, compressed first lines, etc. when I first got my IW-II printer. Just after I finished reading the Macintosh Bible, in which they touted the benefits of the Sheet Feeder for the IW-II, I ran across a 25% discount deal on the Sheet Feeder. So I bought it and have had excellent results for the past six months. I even managed to sell my supply of pin-feed forms, a lucky stroke indeed! I realize that the Sheet Feeder is almost half the price of the IW-II, but thought it worth mentioning for consideration.
