I recently ftp'ed a copy of GNU from MIT, and tried to bring it up on
an Iris4d running beta3.0.  It dies during garbage-collect.  Has anyone
else had the same problem?  The GNU version is 18-51.  I hear that 2.0
user are having no problems.

Any leads, fixes, or other info is appreciated,
