Message-ID: <405@kosman.UUCP> Date: 11 Jun 88 04:50:12 GMT Organization: K.O.'s Manor - Vital Computer Systems, Oxnard, CA 93035 Lines: 12 Hmmm. I have a Telebit Trailblazer Plus as an external modem, and I want to call out with ATE (sorry, you haters of AT&T software, I like it). So far, I have had to lie to the system, telling it that I have here a Direct connection, because it otherwise complains first that the entry needs a phone number, and then that the line is not set up for dialing. My guess is that there ought to be a modemcap file around here somewhere, but I'll be darned if I can figure out where it ought to go. I'm running 3.51a kernel, phone manager, ATE, and HDB uucp. Yes, I can use cu, but I'm fond of the dialing directory. HELP?
