HP Precision has squash-depending-on-sign-of-displacement. Was just reading the latest IEEE MICRO, with the ARM chip and its conditions on every instruction. If you are willing to waste the bits on every instruction, and the condition in the branch can be evaluated fast enough, then the conditions on every instruction give you all the squashing you need in the delay slot(s).
