I have just finished the official Sunos 4.0 course and this question was asked. The answer given at the time was slightly different that that in the orginal articleand explained this apparent deficiency as being two part. One, the hardware for the cpu ports has a single character buffer which at high speeds generates too many interrupts for the operating system to handle. Two the new drivers allow higher speeds but the documentation is a little foggy on the limitations. So don't let this minor set back deter anyone from using his Trailblazers at 9600. This is a 1000 times improvement over 2400 especially for news. ger -- G.
