I made all the changes suggested, and split the files to get rid of the
"infinite spill" errors, and still I get the core dump as mentioned in
my earlier post (made from root@libove.UUCP). (That is, I figured out 
those changes myself, too; must be another 2.1.4g compiler bug :-)
