I have looked at what the section of gnuchess is doing that has been
giving me trouble, specifically I printed out "i" as the routine
GetOpenings() runs... tmp[15000something] is getting played with,
though I can't find any reason for i to be incremented like that;
it should have started at zero...

I remove the gnuchess.book file so that the routine would not
execute, and the computer proceeded to beat the pants off of me
in a nice successful game of chess.

So, the problem is localized to the GetOpenings() function and
things it might call.

Does anyone have any further suggestions on this problem?
