(*snif!*) Although neither of the two articles said, I suspect they are using Kermit. The distributed version on VT100 V2.8 has a definite bug in the Kermit support that I guarantee will turn an Amiga into a mindless slug. I've reported the bug and and my fix to Tony, but I guess there hasn't been a distribution of an "official fix". I'll generate the diffs and post them.
