I've gotten many reports of the kermit problem.  The "official fix" is
not very far away now (I've finally gotten some promising reports from my
beta testers).

I'd really like to see your fix on this.  I know how I've done it for 2.9
but I'd like to see how others do it, too.  Would you mind sending it to
