Subject: TAR versus TAR.Z

	I understand TAR.Z files are tar files that are compress
	will a compress program that uses an algorithm by two
	guys whose names I cannot remember.

	Looking at the compress we have on our Apollo, it is
	not the same compress algorithm.

	Can anyone tell me where I can find a copy of the correct
	compress program? Lately, I have been seeing more
	TAR.Z files than TAR files, and I am desperate need
	of this program.
