Fixed media are definitely better off with ProDOS." That argument falls down when you try to pass data from one program to another. I have a decent spreadsheet which runs under ProDOS and can save to file in ASCII format, but my comm software uses DOS 3.3. If I want to send a copy of a spreadsheet to another machine (which I have wanted to do), I would have to convert it to DOS to use it: NOT convenient!
