I have been trying to transfer files to/from an IBM PC running 
MSKERMIT 2.29 to an Apple II+ running KERMIT378 with no success.
I don't think it is a communication problem because both machines
work fine in CONNECT mode.
  The problem seems to be that the two programs are not using the
same protocol. I tried changing the send/receive options but it
didn't seem to help. 
  When I tell the apple kermit to SEND a file it says:
/ *
  When I tell the IBM kermit to SEND a file it says:
0 S^ @-#&1^"  ^U

Is this the normal behavior of the apple kermit or is my copy broken?
Has anyone had similar problems transfering from apple to IBM?
