We're considering a small-end model (1.2 GB) to back up an RA81 and an RA80 on a VAX750 running 4.3BSD unix. This site requires large amounts of long term off-line archival storage, and therefore the WORM disks caught my eye. The particular model I was looking at is very cheap as compared to most others (around $7000) and sports a TMSCP interface, which I can deal with quite nicely. The thought of replacing rooms full of 2400' 9track reels with a small drawerful of compact optical disks appeals very strongly! ...decvax!yale!spock!eric Eric Volpe @ Choate Rosemary Hall, Wallingford CT
