IF I have a modem that can be configured as COM3 (a ZOOM internal) and I have software that supports COM3 (such as Procomm), can I use the modem in an IBM PC and run it as COM3 with no problems? It seems that previous talk I have heard is that "the IBM PC doesn't support anything other than COM1 or COM2." To be more specific, I have done this and it APPEARS to work. But am I headed for trouble down the road when I will least expect it? Also, does anyone know if the AT&T 6300 PC will also support COM3? Thanks... ____________________________________________________________ Mike Cook Oak Park IL Call Discovery Place ...
