Many people in many newsgroups own the PP 2400 baud modem (I have seen 15+ glowing endorsements, and just one person who's having problems [his modem is probably fried & will probably be replaced under warranty]). One local person I know purchased several modems, was unhappy with the error rates (5-10 spurious character per hour), and returned them. Finally he bought a practical peripherals modem and he's very satisfied. The extra $20 for the PP. modem is probably worth it. The modem is guaranteed Hayes compatible or your money back.
