You may need more memory: As I type this in using 18.51 under uPort/386, it's using 650K of RAM. You need 6.5meg of disk space to run, and maybe 10meg more to compile & install. > But, I haven't seen any > discussions here on getting it to run under Microport. Probably because it just installs without hassle. :-) > Has anyone > tried this? Was it merely a matter of recompiling? One program in etc/ generated a compiler-internal error, but it was obvious and easy to fix. Obviously didn't use the optimizer, but it runs pretty quick. I did use the keyboard ioctl() to remap the keyboard at the driver level so that the backspace key would generate DEL and the keypad wouldn't generate ESC [, and a few other useful things. OSU has all the current GNU stuff on-line for anonymous downloads at 1200bps & 2400bps. I can make it available for Trailblazer downloads if anyone wants to save some $$$. The compressed sources are just over 4meg. -- James R. Van Artsdalen ...!ut-sally!utastro!bigtex!james "Live Free or Die" Home: 512-346-2444 Work: 328-0282; 110 Wild Basin Rd.
