Message-ID: <164@pigs.UUCP> Date: 16 Jun 88 17:39:38 GMT Organization: Big "D" Home for Wayward Hackers Lines: 16 [ this must be the month i get to use the hell out of comp.unix.xenix ] The system I am writing this on has a 1200 baud out-bound modem and a 2400 baud in-bound one, so I set rpp386 up to force callbacks to pigs to try to reduce the news feed time. I put the c flag in the USERFILE for pigs as the manual says. I just tried to dial out and found the line busy [ which is why I wanted things set up this way in the first place ] and guess who pigs is talking to? rpp386. I must confess, I have never used callback in my entire life so I am at a total loss for what to do. ANY help would be welcome, that is, any except `buy another 2400 baud modem'. [ unless you want to give me a tube of DRAMs to trade for one, which is how I got this one ;-) ] - John.
