I'm in serious need of information about digital cameras or other input systems. (I.e., point the camera, write the bits into memory). I would really appreciate any pointers, opinions, reviews, anything about: cameras, digitizing hardware (does this usually come with the camera, or separately?) (standalone or card), etc. I'm trying to do some image analysis work, and I need images. The probable CPU will be an Apollo workstation. Desired resolution is around 1Kx1K -- is this reasonable? Too much or too little? How expensive? Thanks for any help you can give. Please e-mail (unless you have really controversial opinions :-) and I'll summarize whatever I get. (p.s. please ignore the name & header above; my account is a little perverse just now. Also, any typos are the fault of this adm3 keyboard I'm pounding on :-( Bob Montante, bobmon@silver.bacs.indiana.edu or bobmon@iuvax.cs.indiana.edu Computer Science Department Indiana University
