did it work?  is everyone reading this article?

every two weeks a posting is made telling you where some of this stuff is
archived.  look at those postings before you make YOUR posting.  and yes,
i have a copy of henry spencer's ``version 8-ish'' ;-) regular expression
library.  i actually even have TWO different versions.
