As far as I can see it looks just fine. But when I try to use the >'Connect' command nothing happens. Everything that I type seems to go some- Since you are using Apple Access, I gather that you've either got a Super Serial Card OR a IIgs (which? -- type SHOW DEVICE-DRIVER from the Kermit prompt and see that the serial driver matches your serial device). If you are using a Super Serial Card, you MUST set SW2-6 (switch number 6 on microblock number 2 on the card) ON in order to enable interrupts (if in doubt, set switch 6 on on both blocks as the other one is controlled by software and won't make any difference). The "everything I type goes somewhere" sounds like a Super Serial Card without interrupts enabled (actually what you type goes to the modem, but nothing comes back). >where, but it surely isn't registered by the modem. I know I'm not giving all >the facts, but I'm not sure of them myself. Kermit is very new to me and >Prodos all the more. Is Kermit still capable of working under Dos 3.3? If Yup, the self same Kermit which works under ProDOS also runs under DOS 3.3 (just use the Apple utilities, Copy 2 Plus, the Chameleon, or something to copy the KERMIT3xx BIN file to a DOS 3.3 disk and BRUN it). If you get the one you've got working, let me know and I'll email you a new one for you to practice using Kermit to download on. --------------------- Disclaimer: --- My employer isn't responsible for my mistakes AND vice-versa!
