Doug made a typo. The hp3000 runs MPE and the hp9000 runs HP-UX. The availability of your favorite commerical applications on HP-UX is increasing, as HP, third party vendors, and customer-experts like yourselves port them from MPE. But HP is continuing to improve, enhance and support MPE, so hp3000 users can rest assured that their hardware and applications will remain useful far into the future.
